Delightful Balance

In the Gospel of Luke, Peter receives the prophetic word no one ever wants to get “Satan has demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And, when you have turned again strengthen your brothers.” Peter is shocked and perhaps a bit offended that his level of commitment is being called into question so he immediately begins to defend himself restating his absolute devotion and allegiance to Jesus. This past week, I was speaking with another pastor about the kind of “volcanic suffering” that is life-altering. She said the Lord had recently spoken to her about this being a season of “Holy Disruptions”. I found it interesting that the words we were using to try and describe profound loss and grieving had some shared connotations. I was saying 'eruptions' and she was saying 'disruptions' and both of these words imply intense events that result in radical changes. In the l

Recently, a trusted prayer partner in our ministry had a vision that warned of some difficult times ahead involving corporate grieving and suffering, but that it would also be a time of great increase and growth for Believers/The Church. One thing I have learned about how God speaks, is that He always follows the bad news with the good news. Presuming that he is already a Believer and having dedicated his life to spreading The Gospel, wouldn’t it seem redundant to, “preach it

February 7, 2021 Buckle Up! I am always expectant that God is setting the stage for miraculous displays of His power and glory! In my previous attempts to bring clarity, I don’t want to give the impression that this season is not pivotal or spiritually historic, because I do believe that it is! I saw a meme the other day that said, “2020 went into a store and bought a wig and came back out as 2021!” All joking aside, 2021 seems to have the same shaking qualities that came wit

This week, I have been speaking with people all over the country who have been sharing experiences they’ve had with Believers who have been impacted by the various narratives circulating during the recent election season. Many are discouraged and confused while a few remain resolute that the predictions, in which they have placed their trust, will come to pass! Others are asking: How could this happen? How could seasoned, quality, people of faith become so engrossed and caugh
